Anya Petersen-Frey, SBDC Regional Director
Anya started her career as a business analyst for a Fortune 500 company and has worked in business and economic development for over 15 years, serving most recently as a regional director for Small Business Development Centers in Alaska, Wyoming, and Oregon. Her focus is guiding small businesses from start-up to sustainability in a variety of industries.
She has managed a tribally owned business incubator and been actively involved in local financing events that showcase start-ups. She has taught business courses at the university level for over 10 years and is currently teaching at Montana State University. She completed PhD coursework and competencies with a focus on international business at Northcentral University and Leeds Metropolitan University, has an MBA from Shorter University, and a BA in personnel development and health education from Georgia State University. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. Anya is also a Certified Global Business Professional.
